Friday Morning April 25th , we met as usual at the club at 8:30 and carpooled up & head out to TorreyPinesStateBeach.
The group has grown quite a bit in the weeks we’ve been meetingfor our weekly outings. This time there were 11 of us.
The early tentative plan was for us to break into 2 groups. One, to head up the hill & hike thru the upper trails, the other to stay down & just hike along the beach. But the group decided we’d stay together & all just walk along the shore line.

In past hikes the group has tended to split up into smaller groups that are more comfortable walking at their separate paces. But this time was quite different.
We naturally separated into different groups, but we’d rejoin later down the beach & seem to naturally divide into smaller groups again this time trading off people from another group.
Spear fisherman braved the shark infested water
I think everyone there walked & talked with each member of the group for at least a mile.
It was a beautiful & refreshing way to spend a Friday morning.
Due to the almost nine & a half miles we walked that day we didn’tmake it back in time for the noon meeting, but I don’t think it was a problem for anyone that day
We will be soon moving our weekly hike to Saturdays to make it possible for more people to join us. If you’d like to join us on a future hike please contact me at fredfear1@hotmail.com or one of us mentioned at the top of the article.
